I have a USB flash drive that I bought fromOffice Depot. I need a driver to install on my laptop. Does anyone know of a free one that I could download of the internet from a reliable site. (i.e. microsoft.com ect.) Here is all the info I have that it written on the casing:

That's all I know. I need the driver to be backwards compatible because my laptop is an old hand-me down (free!)
and is probably only Windows 98 or 97
To know the maker of your flash drive, insert it free download usb flash driver downloadon a Windows XP pc and go to your device manager, expand the list of Disk Drives to see its name, to know the exact driver, can you repost your question and right click on your flash disk in Disk drive, and past the Device Instance ID here, or message me, so I can check if there's a Win98 Driver or a generic one which can be use for your Win98 machine.
Alternatively if your machine is a little bit power enough you can upgrade your old desktop to Windows 2000, so you won't have any difficulty finding comfree download usb flash driver downloadpatible drivers for your flash drive.

But before doing so, make a backup copy of your files in your old machine, installing different usb drivers might cause a blue screen in your Win98 machine, and may not boot at all,
If there is no cd that came with it, only other option would be to go to the makers website. Read the paperwork that came with it...see if they say what to do for Win98...(there was no win97).
