I've recently downloaded the new internet explorer, but after I tried to download a file from my email, the download manager wouldn't open, even when I press ctrl + J. I then tried from another page and same again it didn't open, and when it saved I couldownload manager internet explorerdn't see where it was saving, luckily I knew the most likely place. So if I can't manage my downloads what's the point of a download manager.
I had problems with Explorer 9 and removed it.
Start - control panel - view by large icons - Windows update - vdownload manager internet exploreriew update history - installed updates (underlined at top) - click internet explorer 9 to uninstall.
It will revert back to explorer 8, you don`t need to install it.
You need to reinstall IE 9. This may solve your problem.
